Current customer rating:
Up for auction is my GT 2 Tunisian Tan Metallic 1971 383-4 V (HP) Challenger. Supposedly sold new one town over from me in Claremore, Oklahoma back in 1971. Originally a G-code 318-2 V car in Tunisian Tan Metallic (light gold color), with a tan interior and a black vinyl top. Has some rust here and there, but the body is really straight. Driver's side rear front floor pan section did rot out some. Basically right behind the driver's side seat. Trunk pan is still really nice with no holes. I am sure there is areas of bondo on the car somewhere. Car has a reqbuilt 1966 B 383 HP big block engine in it. Car was running and driving, when I bought it back around 2003, but I haven't started it since probably 2007. Carburetor and wiring issues caused me to park it. The 727 big block Torqueflite automatic transmission in the car currently, has a reverse manual valve body in it. It never did shift right from Day 1. It needs rebuilt. The 383-4 V (HP) engine is probably still good. I did have a freeze plug pop out of the block. I recommend checking the engine completely, before trying to start it. I have a full steel crank 1972 440-4 V big block 727 automatic drive train from my 1972 Chrsyler New Yorker, I will be throwing in with the car. Tons of parts come with the car. I have a full set of extra glass date coded 1971, out of another 1971 318-2 V Challenger AC car. Everything except the front windshield. Date code correct complete 1971 Challenger bumper jack assembly and a 1971 14 inch Rallye wheel spare from a 1971 Road Runner. Tire is an original Polyglas. Nice front and back 1971 Challenger chrome bumpers. Front and back chrome 1971 bumper guards. I have the gas tank and the dual exhaust rear valance. I have a nice 1971 Challenger flat hood with a 1969 A 12 6 Pack hood scoop molded down to it. I have a nice original 1971 Challenger deck lid. I have 4 brand new center caps for the 15 X 8 Ansen Sprint slotted wheels on the car. I have nice black front and rear 1970 Challenger SE door panels for the car and a super nice original 1971 AM radio, with the microphone cord hook up, out of a 1971 'Cuda for my Challenger. I also have a full set of 1971 date coded tan seatbelts for the car too. I even have a super nice textured argent silver tail light finish panel, to go with the car. No broken studs on the finish panel either and all 4 reflectors are there too, with a nice Challenger script emblem in the middle. Lots of extra parts come with this car, including nice original A 46 1971 Challenger doors (driver's and passenger's side), and a super nice original 318 V 8 k-frame and 8 3/4 rear end housing with axle shafts, out of another 1971 Challenger, one of my car buddies use to own in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I'm sure I missed mentioning several parts that go with this car. Title on the car is clean and clear and signed, but is open and still in the previous owner's name. If you need the car title to be in my name, that is not a problem at all and I can do it ASAP. Car is sold as is where is, in non-running rolling condition. Payment by cash only. Car is located near Oologah, Oklahoma. Thanks for looking and happy bidding!
