85 M6 CSI Simply the best of the best. First year euro style bumpers & headlamps, black on black, restored and modified to perfection.First the history as I know it. This car came my way 1995-1998 via a friend and customer who acquired it from the original owner who was a neighbor of his. I do not believe that my friend ever registered it, so I was quite possibly the 2nd legal owner. I sold the car to a close friend who owned it for a couple of years before it came back to me and then around 2010 I sold it to my brother in law Roy, who has owned it until now. Roy's hobby is racing (1st place in 2021 in the TCR series driving an M2 and Alpha) and his favorite cars are BMW. And what better BMW could he want but a classic BMW M6, but not just and ordinary one. So Roy spent well over $150k total on this special car making it into a classic driving machine with the components of a good track car. The spending of the money was every bit as much fun for him as the end result. So now that its perfected and he's moved on to a new M5CSI, you have the opportunity to own it for way less than it would cost you to build it and instant gratification!Body: During the process of restoration care was taken to maintain originality. The body panels are original and did not have rust so the body was completely stripped and repainted, sanded and buffed and ceramic coated. Most if not all of the trim and chrome was either replaced or re chromed. Windshield was replaced. Side and rear glass tinted. Interior: Originality was maintained here as well with the exception of recovering the seats in high grade european leather and the addition of a custom Alpine stereo system ($10K) and racing pedals.Drivetrain: All numbers match components here also. The original engine was sent to Korman Auto Works of NC for a complete rebuild ($30k). If you have never heard of them you should look them up. The original 3430cc motor was treated to a M88 stage II 3.6l stroker kit along with big bore throttle body kit and an appropriate dyno tune and custom headers for a roughly 75hp gain to make this incredible 100hp per liter. The entire engine bay was restored with many new components inc wiring harnesses, lines and hoses. Cooling system and complete AC system were replace with OEM components. No expense spared and probably the most money spent on this area. Trans was also gone thru at this time and a short shift kit installed.  Suspension & Brakes: Here is where some of the expensive and necessary upgrades were made to make this car track ready. Custom Billstein suspension with adjustable coil overs ($10k) Custom Brembo 6 piston caliper brake kit on all four corners ($10k). Forge line 19" racing wheels with staggered Michelins ($10k) Upgraded steering box, bushings, control arms and linkages. Adjustable strut brace.Although the original mileage shows 95k there is less than 5k on the completed build. Just enough miles to be sure that everything is fine tuned and working as it should. According to online Collector Car motor-junkie.com this is one of the best cars to invest in today and this is arguably one of the rarest and best of its kind. A classic to look at with
