I have a 1978 VW Super Beetle convertible for sale.  I bought it with the intention of restoring it for my wife and she did not like the idea for some reason.  I was told that the motor runs but sounds really bad and needs rebuilt.  It needs the drivers floorboard patch welded in and could probably use a couple of other floorboard patches in spots but the part that normally rust out under the battery/rear seat is very solid.  The paint looks good but would look even better if buffed although there are some places where rust/paint have chipped off like around engine compartment hatch.  She could probably use some new weather stripping as well.  This car could easily be back on the road in hours with a bit of elbow grease.  Feel free to ask for more pictures of specific areas.  Pick up in Sparta Mo.  You are responsible for transport/shipping arrangements.  $500 deposit is due within 24 hours of auction ending.
