FOR SALE: A very original LHD 16V GTi with only 41k miles and full VW service history.

EXTERIOR
This LHD 16V Golf is in exceptionally original condition and is completely rust free. There are very few stone chips to be found and after 27 years the only paint imperfections are a small touched in scratch on the rear quarter panel and a small lacquer mark on the bonnet. All of the plastic trim is very good still retaining its deep black colour. the only point to note is a slight graze on the corner of the front bumper. All of the lights and glass are free from chips and moisture. The underside of the car is also very clean and again free of any corrosion or damage.

INTERIOR
The first thing you notice when opening the doors on this GTi is that new car smell and the interior presents in close to new condition. The seats are exceptional with no sagging to the bolsters or creases in the fabric. there is the slightest amount of wear to the drivers bolster but other than that no negatives to report. Everything feels very solid and well put together and all the controls have a positive feel and work exactly as they should. there is no damage or cracks to any of the trim and the steering wheel still retains its textured finish. The boot area is clean and looks barely used. the space saver and tool kit are neatly stowed under the immaculate boot carpet.

This example also has some very nice options including electric mirrors. electric windows. sunroof and a fully functional MFA.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Inspecting under the bonnet reveals the highly desirable 16V unit. The engine fires into life with a throaty growl and is free from any top end rattles sometimes associated with this block and it is clear that the car has been maintained to the highest standards. Again no signs of corrosion on the inner wings. chassis rails or the underside of the bonnet.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
All of the alloys are in their original paint and have only picked up a couple of minor marks. they are all shod in a matching set of tyres that have plenty of tread remaining. The discs are free from scoring and the pads have plenty of meat left on them.

HISTORY FILE
This example was registered in 1986 and has only covered 41. 06 miles from new. The original service book has 9 main dealer service stamps. the last being done at 39. 60 miles. br/>
Also included is the original document pack that has all the owners manuals and a spare key.
