Up for your consideration-

This very clean, very solid 1940 Dodge Sedan was bought by its current owner about seven years ago.

Always wanting something different, he searched high and low for something that was already restored and turn key.

Not knowing on how old the paint is, it does show very well.

Finished in a deep black, there are some minor areas showing some runs in paint upon close inspection along with some areas where some bondo is starting to shrink along the bottom of the doors.

Nothing major, but wanted to bring to attention to the next owner.

Paint also has some chips that have occurred over time, again, nothing major, but can tell this car has been enjoyed and driven over time.

Very nice body gaps, opening and closing of the doors, trunk and both sides of the hood.

Trunk does not have any type of prop to hold open, so it's recommended to keep that in mind.

Super solid floors, trunk pan and firewall.

Very presentable trim and brightwork, but some of the brightwork is showing age upon close inspection.

Glass appears to be original and a couple of panels are showing delamination.

Overall, the new owner should be proud to hop in, fire up and take to any special occasion, car cruise or car show

and be ready to accept plenty of compliments and hear many “ I remember when “ stories !!

Interior is just as impressive as the exterior !

Interior doesn't show any type of neglect, abuse or ever being smoked in-at least since its been restored.

Dash area and gauge cluster shows very well, along with headliner, door panels,carpet and seat surfaces.

Working gauges,radio, horn, lights, signals and wipers.

The transmission stalk is a little brittle and would recommend replacing at some point for comfortable shifts.

Windows open and close as they should, along with then opening and closing of the doors.

For safety- there are not seat belts.

The owner may want to have them installed if safety is a concern ?

“Believed to be” original drivetrain.

Inline six cylinder starts right up and settles to smooth idle.

3-speed manual transmission engages as it should with smooth shifts and good clutch take-up.

Excellent tires and good brakes.

Car drives as good as looks, but remember, it drives like a 81 year old Dodge should, steering is a little loose, as expected with an 81 year old Dodge steering would be.

Car comes with a clean title.
