1964 Mercedes Benz 230 SL Manual Transmission LHD
Here we have my beautiful Pagoda Mercedes Benz 230 SL in gleaming red with contrasting white hard top. black soft top and black interior. overall a stunning combination!
The car was imported from Canada last year and had undergone a part restoration under the previous owner. Since arriving in the UK I've continued the restoration with the following work completed by heritage motor mechanic & highly regarded classic car bodyshop to bring the vehicle to its present condition:- Full body respray- beautiful red paintwork. no dings or dents. near showroom appearance!New brake shoes. calipers and pads New battery New spark plugs New fuel. air and oil filters All fluids replaced New distributer cap and leads New hoses Injector pump overhaul Cold start thermostat overhaul
Interior reupholstered and new carpets (by previous keeper)
71. 00 miles. although unverified believed to be original as per previous owners advice and vehicle condition supports it.
Rare and valuable numbers matching original engine and box to chassis. This is verified through the original Daimler Benz data card that I have a copy of. showing the engine and chassis numbers at manufacture. and these match those stamped on the engine & chassis. Having matching numbers supports the cars originality. Many pagodas you'll see have had replacement engines during their lifetime and this is detrimental to their value and desireablilty. matching numbers cars are the ones in demand and the ones commanding highest values!

This car has had lots of money spent on it in all the correct places. and with further minor detailing could easily and inexpensively be brought up to show-car standard.
