I purchased this vehicle in August 2017 from the original owner, a retired engineer who bought it new and used it as his daily commuter from Thousand Oaks to Lancaster until he retired and moved to Cambria, where the car was garaged and little driven.  The car has always been garaged and well-maintained.  I have driven it about 5,000 miles in the 4 years I've owned it, and now it's time to move on to finishing a 1976 2002 restoration project.  Beautiful car, runs strong and smooth, gets compliments and thumbs-up every time I take it out.Mechanical:  200,000+ highway miles on the 3.5 liter straight six.  Compression is still 175 across all cylinders, no leaks, smoke, or noises.  Oil and filter always changed regularly using Mobil 1 Full Synthetic.  Since I've owned the vehicle I've replaced the battery, alternator, in-line fuel pump and fuel filter.  Just installed new Brembro drilled and slotted rotors w/new pads, front and rear.  Brand-new Hankook 225/50 tires on 16" wheels from a later 5 series.  Original metric wheels and aging Michelins included in sale.Exterior:  Original Cinnabar red paint shows a few minor nicks and dings, but still shines very well.  No rust.  Windshield has a small chip above rear-view mirror and shows pitting when driving directly into the sun but is not noticeable under normal driving conditions.  I've repaired the front spoiler, which was cracked when I bought the car.  Not a professional job, but a sound reinforced epoxy repair which looks good from 5 feet (I could have done a better job smoothing the joint and color-sanding).  New Wolfe front bra (not installed) included in sale.  Overall, a highly-presentable 10-footer which will still draw accolades at local show-and-shine events.Interior:  Dove-gray interior shows little wear with no splits or separated seams.  One small 1/2 inch tear on rear package shelf.  Driver's seat has been re-upholstered at some point. For protection and comfort, I've covered both front seats with high-quality sheepskins.  Some dash cracks, but not extensive and no warping.  Original radio still works but after-market CD player doesn't.  A/C blows cold, front and rear.  Left quarter window doesn't work.  Overall very clean and highly presentable.Summary:   I drive the car locally on occasion and have taken it on several 4-hour road trips.  It's a pleasure to drive, rides great, and always draws positive attention.  Car is located Palm Springs; I welcome personal inspection.
