Here is my MG metro turbo 6 R 4 replica for sale needing only minor finishing to complete a truly unique fast road or capable track car. I could go on about all the usual reasons I need to sell but the bottom line is that I have the opportunity to purchase a house I want and this has to go

The spec:

The car is registered as an MG metro turbo G 131 0 AM but of course has been heavily modified! The car was taxed and moted prior to the current rebuild (to add the cage and swap the rotary for the saab lump) but these have both expired. shouldn't be a problem with either once the finishing touches are done.

The chassis is based on the sweet handling rx 8 platform. this takes the subframes and suspension etc of a standard rx 8. so great for aftermarket/replacement parts. The car was full painted inside and out pantone orange (easy to match) before the rebuild. Kit is full 6 R 4 replica minus the door pods. purely as I personally prefer it without them. but they could be added easily enough. Wheels are perfect condition rota grid 18 in shod with brand new budget tyres 235 45 18 (only budgets as they came with the wheels!) freshly painted white. The car runs a bias pedal box and brakes and steering are all fully plumbed in and working.

The engine I chose to replace the previous rotary lump (too much rev. not enough grunt!) is a saab b 234 r 2. 3 turbo which was removed by myself from a running car running over 300 bhp with a td 04 turbo. abbott racing map. rs 500 intercooler (plumbed in with new ash silicone hoses) and with no known issues. It also has a custom made full 3 in JAC (google them!) exhaust with no cat which sounds quite frankly awesome! It is wired to run standalone but will easily integrate with the car loom (corsa b) which was chosen for this reason. It is mated to an omega box with an uprated sachs clutch which is widely accepted to be good for 400 bhp within saab tuning circles.

The cage has been done by a local fab company to a high standard. as with a power hike of nearly double planned I didn't want to take any chances. However I think it sits low on the front legs. this has been arranged to be done FOC and obviously the details/arrangements will be made for the new owner if they want this doing.

The to do list:

The radiator needs mounting. prop modding. cage front uprights modding (if you choose). cage painting and a little bit of wiring. so not much really. After that just add seats and harnesses. mot and go.

The sale:

As you can see most of the hard work is done. there's probably 2 good weekends of work left in it and not a lot cost wise. Not really after a px thank you as need cash for the deposit so would only take something in exchange to a lesser value or if I can sell it on very quickly. I like to think I'm reasonable to deal with and cash is king so come view. have a brew and have a deal my number is 5 (Alex) cheers.
