Mercedes-Benz Unimog 404-114 . Essentially an overland pickup truck which also can be road driven. 2.2 liter gas engine with 6 forward speeds and two reverse. Former military vehicle based on olive drab paint found. Vehicle plate is in German and Dutch.This vehicle has been wakened from a long sleep (7-10 years). Part of this this time was spent in open weather. This restoration has focused on functionality and roadability.BRAKES :all drums removed, cleaned and checked. New wheel cylinders installed x 4. Brake linings OK. Parking brake lever unfrozen, new cables x 2 installed and adjusted.New brake fluid reservoir. New flexible brake lines x 4. This vehicle has the vacuum brake booster TRANSMISSION: all gears work as specified. Lockouts and shifting all operational as specified.6 forward gears, two reverse gears.4 wheel drive lever unfrozen and adjusted. 4 wheel drive lever detents snap in place in both 4 wheel open and 4 wheel lock, as they should. Clutch working as it should.CAB: new black cab canvas imported from Germany and installed May 2021. Upper door halves (windows) are fabricated from polycarbonate and have hinged openings and remain removable.Interior has been cleaned and partially restored. Seats are in decent condition, no tears, All gages operational. Speedometer reads roundabout 5 KMH low, I believe due to the 11-20 tires.. PO reported the mileage was correct as imported many years ago. Hand throttle operational. Map light operational. Horn operational.Windshield frame refurbished and new glass installed. Wipers operational. Electric washer pump upgrade. Heater operational. Hand lamp included.ELECTRICAL:Note: 24 volt system. vehicle lighting has been sorted out. Headlamps, marker lamps and brake lamps operational. NATO tail lamps have been converted from amber/ red to red / red lens. Directionals and 4 way flasher operational (solid state flasher) Off-road LED lights installed front x 2 & rear x 1.Battery power disconnect checked and operational. Battery box refurbished and reinforced.exhaust battery heater de-commissioned. New NAPA 51 R batteries May 2021. 2 nd battery box de-commissioned and empty, can be used for tool storage & etc. Spare ignition key. Fuse panel de-oxidized and new torpedo fuses installed. Generator functions as specified. Digital voltmeter installed in dash.IGNITION: previous owner converted to pertronix ignition. Further upgrade to “civilian” ignition with new plugs,wires, cap and rotor.ENGINE: valve clearance checked and adjusted.compression report 1-6: 115, 110, 110, 105, 120, 120 (within factory specs) No visible smoke during road test. Oil pressure 2.5-3.0 bar, as specified. New muffler installed June 2021
