One of the rarest of the TR range, there were only 3300 built between April and December 1962 for export only to the USA. After the introduction of the more luxurious TR4 in 1961, the North American dealers felt that there was still a good demand for the more basic (and cheaper) TR3A and convinced Triumph to resume limited production. The model was called the TR3B and was basically a TR3A  with the TR4 2.2 litre engine and the TR4 full synchro gearbox.This example has spent it's entire life in Florida, and consequently has remained very solid, rust free and undamaged. It was registered in 1963 and taken off the road in 1969, and the recorded mileage of 30,000m is believed to be correct.It has recently been fully recommisioned, which included new tyres, new exhaust system, new hood, new brake calipers, new brake master cylider, pads, wheel cylinders and flexi pipes. New clutch master and slave cylinders. New carpets, etc. The original tonneau cover and side screens are still in good condition. The engine compartment could do with a good steam cleaning and detailing.It is an excellent 'drivers' car, rather than a show car. It goes very well with that distinctive TR rasp, and it comes with it's original handbook, and it's Heritage certificate, confirming that it still retains it's original engine. A rare TR that is great fun to drive.As the 3Bs were only made for export, they are all LHD, so no need to convert it !If you have any questions, please call me on 07768 327141.
