1937 Ford Deluxe

1937 Ford Deluxe Club Coupe First year for the Club Coupe body style. Many consider the 1937 Ford icons of Art Deco styling. A strong resemblance with the Lincoln Zephyr can be seen throughout this vehicle. Stored for many years (since the 1950 s as the story goes), the car has had a few newer parts added over time but mostly original items. Numbers matching frame and transmission. Originally equipped with the larger 85 Flathead V 8, I believe the engine in the car is a later model Mercury flathead. The heads say Mercury on them. I have not run all the engine stamping numbers to verify 100% that the entire assembly is Mercury. The engine can be turned part way by hand, but does hang up on a spot.For the inside, the Banjo steering wheel with V 8 horn button, v 8 shift knob, gauges, v 8 center radio dial, radio box, wind up clock, door handles, escutcheons, window trim, sun visors, rear view mirror, light, grab handle, V 8 embossed rocker trim panels, etc. are present.The front and rear seats, date coded fog lights, hub caps, header panel, gas tank, head liner ribs (1 or 2 missing), literature and various newer chrome pieces are included.Wide 5 wheels with old hand painted white walls.The body is in good shape for 84 years old. The rear tool tray, front passenger fender and lower quarter behind the doors appear to be the worst spots.Please come (or send someone) to inspect the car before bidding.
