we are B.U MOTORS a well established family run business since 1981 all my life we have been into large american bigger the better cars and having imported my personal car which is this 1977 lincoln from Texas in 2017 i was amazed by the original condition the car was and the all importance of the drive just got me addicted to these Lincolns AND THE FLAMBOYANT looks , so we have done the hard work for you getting it from US to UK in all one piece takes time and proper preparation and coordination so we present and offered here a very much in the way it left the factory a 1977 Lincoln continental .

Harold Hellbaum but

unfortunately sadly passed away in 2007 leaving his Lincoln in his garage in dry state Texas heat and was passed down to his daughter who only used it for short trips and back below is a response i got from the sellers back in 2017

I provided all of the documentation I had on the 1977 Lincoln Continental whereby the original owner of this vehicle was Harold Hellbaum and he had given the car to his daughter just prior to his death in 2007. Harold Hellbaum was elected to the Wyoming Legislature from 1963 – 1976 and he retired from the Wyoming Legislature after serving as Speaker of the House. He was from Chugwater, Wyoming (I believe). He purchased the car new and I provided all of that documentation when I sent you the title. In that package was the original receipt for the car. Mr. Hellbaum was very respected and he loved this 1977 Lincoln Continental – as apparent with his engraved name on the dash above the glove compartment. The car was original down to the tires. The car sat in his garage and the only major miles put on the car was when his daughter drove it to Texas. When his daughter received the car, her and her husband built a custom garage for the car and tarp and the car was rarely taken out except to drive around the block or to go get the oil changed. I only ended up with the car to help his daughter who was retiring and moving out of state and she did not want to put any miles on the car by driving it to her new location. It was a very difficult decision for her because her father loved this car so much.

When i first got the car in 2017 i was amazed absolutely no rust and like brand new inside the original colour was gold i did not like it it was dull and due to the Texas heat but very straight car no rust

i have before and after pictures, i wanted it to look outstanding as it has so much presence so decided to get it painted this special one off colour which has amazing depth and shine and really sets this car off so viewing in person is highly recommended the paint job is not your average job it a £8500 job using show clear cote. So after making it look the part it was time to upgrade the engine so we had the engine rebuild by performance engines in york below is a short list of what we got done costing £10000

square deck block

oversize bores using hypereutectic pistons

line bore

crankshaft ground

cam tunnel bearings

new edelbrock heads

new edelbrock manifold

new edelbrock carburettor

new distributor re curved

new plugs and leads

balance rotating assembly

everything you can think of on this engine is new after tuning etc this now makes a healthy 500 hp also the gearbox has been fully reconditioned costing £2000

just had a bespoke stainless steel exhaust front to back costing £2500

As you can see its clearly been well cared for and a lot of money has been spent the car is ready to drive away

The interior is flawless amazing looks like back seats not been used no wear or tear anywhere at all , chrome work is excellent original no pitting etc and the glass is perfect too no scratches etc all electrics work its been upgraded to use blue tooth radio and has fixed sat nav

underbody is amazingly clean it was wax oiled from new and we have further protected it and used soundproofing also we upgraded the rubber frame points, as regards to the mechanics well everything is new all brakes /shock absorbers /rubbers/bush,s/linkages/ball joints/

the drive and presence this car has is hard to get from anything else its super smooth reliable the pictures dont do it justice viewing in person highly recommended you dont get these with such low miles i have all papers and even a service book

These are not to be confused with the lincoln mk 3 or 4 they are the 2 door versions which in my eyes dont give it that sleek long American look which you can only get from a 4 door sedan long wheel base version

THE DRIVE is great has tons of torque and is a smooth sailor with finger light steering which gives you no road feeling just the floating type of feeling these big cars have and were designed to do anyone who wishes to have a connection with the road and does not like the wavy body roll of these cars and the 12 mpg fuel economy and the 19 ft x 6 ft wide size well perhaps you will be better suited with a Mercedes.
