Ford Escort 1988 1.6 Diesel Escort Van (Garage Find )
This Van was saved From its resting place where it sat for many years Remarkably the Van Preserved very well
The Garage had a broken window one side (please see last photo ) This caused some rust Mainly on the drivers side
The Van was removed the garage and the Recommissioning took place
Firstly the Tank was drained and cleaned , various new parts fitted included
New Fuel - Cambelt Water Pump -Glow Plugs - Air Filter - New Fuel filter Primer Pump Etc the list went on
Then Come the full strip down to see what was needed , only needing 2 sills - A post Repair -and a seat mount area , while i was there 2 new front wings due to dents
All Work was carried out by my local Body Shop Full Exterior Paint in Ford Pacifica Blue -Handles and bumpers in gloss Black
The Engine was removed and the bay was painted same as the inside to match exterior the inside was done in the Raptor protective coating as well as the underside for extra protection
The Fuse Box and Battery tray are all original as well as the rear wheel arch tubs never welded there
I added Ford Fiesta Recaro 90 spec seats - Rs turbo alloys - Bonnet - Bumper - steering wheel also 4 new Toyo tyres comes with original Radio
The Rear axle was also flipped to lower the van
The Van is Ready for a MOT And use now
