Hi and welcome to this sale of my fantastic mk 1 escort this is a 1300 gt that has been upgraded to a 1600 mexico spec the engine is a 1660 with a cam and fully rebuilt dellorto twin 40 s the box is the original 4 speed and the axle is the one that came on the car, the suspension and brakes are also 1300 gt, I built this to use as a daily but have another project turned up so need to sell it. I have spent double what I am asking but such is life and needs must so here we go, both outer and inner sills have been replaced all 4 floor pans both front wings rear arches inner and outer both boot floor tubs inner and outer front panel and valance battery tray removed and flitch repaired bonnet replaced both doors replaced for near perfect ones. Car resprayed in twin pack with mexico livery. This sounds a lot but I didn't want patches on anything as was gonna be the forever car. It has a 4 into 1 competition manifold and a single box 2 inch competition exhaust. So many other thing repaired or replaced along the way. The wheels are period revolutions that have been refurbished to an excellent standard. There are a few things left to do such as bias pedals and a few brake pipes some wiring an alternater bracket the fuel tank needs piping up, we got it running on a can to show the engine. I have the full v 5 if you have questions just message me. This is a proper car rebuilt to a real good standard not to be confused with some of the other escorts I have seen lately.
