Current customer rating:
Welcome to my listing for my 1949 Dodge Reluctant sale, I do love this thing, I bought this early in the year when I was feeling a bit flush, I just fell for it! Truth be told though I have 7 other projects that I had prior to this arriving, I dont need the money but my spare cash is now tied up in this and slowing progress on other vehicles, whilst this is sat doing nothing, so the sensible thing to do is move it on, it was last one to arrive and holds the most value. Easy come, Easy go.1949 Dodge Wayfarer Coupe UK registered July 2017, UK V 5 in my name 3773 cc straight six with Fluid Drive gearbox Lowered, 4 linked rear end New (ish) steel wheels Whitewall tyres New (ish) bench seat Laquered bare metal, black roof, split screen....it's just GANGSTA!!£9500 The car doesnt run, previous owner hadn't had it running but he also hadnt had it long, he had to sell to fund a replacement gearbox for his Drag racer. He had a video of it running and driving though from the guy he bought from, I should still have the video. Fuel lines and tank had been dropped by the time it changed hands, this was for a recent rust repair to the rear inner fender/boot floor (where the visible damage is on the photo of the rear end/bootlid/trunk). It does crank over, but it has an assortment of 12 volt parts fitted, I believe I could get it running but didnt want to commit to that route and start buying all new 6 v parts, the car needs a rewire anyway so I was just going to put a different lump in there and change it all to 12 volt. I was thinking of sticking a 330 d lump in there, rewire it, airride it and your good to go cruising, Dirty Dodge Coupe. Tax and MOT exempt. As mentioned it's been previously taken to bare metal and laquered, but its just right, its not too rusted and it doesnt really look like bare metal, the rooftop in black just contrasts perfectly, and its just as impressive a view from the drivers seat. The original colour remains on the interior panels and dash, the art deco heater controls, square gauges, split screen and sofa-esque bench seat make it a pretty cool place to be.It's up for sale for what I paid for it, its a unique thing, and if my situation changes then I might be able to keep hold of it, so Im pretty firm on the price. I'll chuck in the car cover and workshop manual I have bought for it. Car is located at my business premises close to Leeds city centre and can be viewed any time by appointment. Cash or cleared bank transfer before car is loaded onto a trailer, if you need a quote for delivery I have a couple of numbers and can get you a price. Any questions or to arrange a viewing call 7 Chris
