1968 Shelby GT 500 Beautifully Restored Verified Shelby Documented Car Factory Highland Green Car Photo Documented Rotisserie Restoration Correct 428 PI Engine Correct C 6 Automatic Transmission The pictures speak for themselves on this one. This one was professionally restored and has been garage stored since. Only a handful of miles have been clocked since completion. This is an original car and carries its original stampings, the Shelby tag is a reproduction but the original weathered tag is included. The paint on this one is amazing. This is a factory Highland Green car that looks incredible with a nice deep shine. The panels line up very well. This is a show quality car. The stripes were done in a custom green rather than white or black. The side stripes are vinyl and the Le Mans stripes are painted and under the clear. The interior was an amazing design in the day and its just as cool today. With woodgrain accents, Stewart Warner gauges, 140 mile per hour speedo, 8 k rpm tachometer, factory roll bar, inertia reel shoulder harnesses and a custom console this was not a stock Mustang interior. The original engine had been replaced early in the car's life. So at great expense a correct date code block was obtained and used for this restoration. The engine was rebuilt to stock specs as was the transmission. The engine compartment is complete and correct down to the factory smog equipment.The undercarriage has been detailed well beyond the stock specifications. With a full coat of red oxide primer, correct finishes on suspension & steering and brand new fluid lines throughout. **Currently the tachometer is not operating and we are waiting on a repaired unit from Tach Man.
