Welcome to the sale of my father in laws Austin A35 948cc Deluxe 1957. He does not have an eBay account and has written the following :-

This car was registered only 3 month after the model was first launched in late 1956. I have owned the car for over 11 years. The car has been dry stored in my garage since its MOT in 2012. This vintage ornament has travelled less than 400 miles and it is now time for it to go to a new home.

Its first owner had the car for 50 years and on his passing, his relative passed it to myself. Its history is known to many locally.  The speedo reading is just over 84500 miles. It had a gold seal engine fitted to it at some point.  The logbook is in my name and and I have the original keys, all numbers being correct. It sits today as if it had just left Longbridge and in my opinion would not be out of place in a showroom or museum.  It has had no upgrades and all parts placed on a like for like basis.

During the restoration the car was stripped and the sills were replaced with originals and any other remedial work undertaken to maintain its originality and authenticity. The floor and wings are original. The car was then resprayed outside and inside in cellulose Dove Grey paint. The wheels painted outside and inside with 1205 Old English White. Fitted with 5 new Tyres.  It was then refitted with its original bumpers, lights, sun visor, and all bright work.  Inside was refitted with the excellent original door cards and sears, the fronts being recusioned.  New head lining, carpets (including the boot) underlay and door seals were sourced and fitted. All original screens refitted with new seals. All 4 door hinges rebushed. Both rear springs and bushes replaced. Brake master cylinder resleeved and rear acting slave cylinder resealed.  Exhaust front pipe replaced along both rear mountings. The battery, dynamo and regulator were replaced. All engine hoses were replaced as were both front engine mountings and any other service items that were required.  It should be noted there is a slight judder from the clutch sometimes on take up probably due to lack of use.  Quantity of spares and paint, as listed below, to go to the new owner.
