8v car with 16v body kit was originally white repainted zermatt silver shows well. Solid car very minor rust along pinch weld under drivers footwell and bubble forming around one of the side turn signals. Engine was replaced with the another one from a lower km 88 scirocco after it was in an accident engine has roughly 190k kms. Being a bolt in replacement theres no engine swap mysteries to worry about. I've driven the car daily for 3 or 4 years so maintenance has been kept up and it's been very reliable seeing as its 37 yrs old. Runs really nice despite the reputation the fuel injection systems these cars have. Has power windows and vacuum power locks in working condition. Routine maintenance I've always done myself while anything major or electrical was done by Bittners vw specialist.Car is mostly stock other than exhaust tectonics tuning down pipe no cats and a borla 2.5 inch exhaust sounds good for a 4cyl. Also has Euro headlights and spoiler. New parts recently:Both front axlesWaterpumpAlternator rebuiltParking brake cablesShift linkage bushings1 front wheel bearingTie rod ends4 new Falken Azenis RT615K tiresNeeds new front shocks there pretty bouncy but the koni struts and lowering springs are in good shape.To say I've enjoyed this car is an understatement but it's time for someone else to enjoy it getting hard to find period let alone in this kind of shape. Currently has cloth front seats in it to preserve the original leathers but will come with leather seats shown.
