Hi and welcome to this auction for my 1967 Triumph Spitfire MK 111. the most desired one of the Spitfire range, I have just brought this car out of dry heated storage, where it as been for the last 12 months. Now where to start with the description. This car previously has had the complete drivetrain rebuilt with new parts i.e. engine, gearbox, all front and rear suspension, rear spring etc, both front and back brakes,  aluminium radiator with twin thermostatically controlled fans, with manual override, oil cooler, (see photo's) the original engine and gearbox were both reconditioned and rebuilt 5000 miles ago. (mileage now 15,809, mileage when done 10,987) the engine was re-bored to 40 thou" with new pistons, all bearings etc, and also had a race camshaft and lightened and balanced flywheel fitted, also a full clutch, (all bills to prove) also an unleaded head. it has a stainless steel exhaust fitted leading to two stainless rear boxes (sounds awesome.) The car is fitted with a fibreglass GT6 bonnet with the middle hump, much better looking than the original. The mohair hood is not new but is okay and fits perfect but there is a tear in the o/s rear side window at the bottom, which can be repaired. I also have a second hand hood and tonneau cover in olive green There is a full tonneau and half tonneau cover with the car. The car has 5 wire wheels and chrome spinners in excellent condition, also with the car are the original wheels and centre's, all the tyres are new including tubes. The car when it left the factory was white, but was resprayed in it's present colour of Brooklands Racing Green some time ago and was not done with care. The bonnet has paint drips (not runs) on it so it looks like it has a small dose of chicken pox but it never worried me but the new owner may disagree the rest of the car is good. The car has had at some time has had all new floors, and sills fitted very professionally, the chassis is rock solid and has never been welded and is wax coated. There is a small scab (not rotten) on top of the o/s/f rear wing also on the n/s/r panel (see photo's) The car comes with two A4 folders full of receipts, and i mean full !! of every penny that has been spent on this car which runs into thousands of pounds. In summary if you want that has had everything done mechanically but requires a little bodywork doing you won't go far wrong with this one, as these MK3's in this condition are becoming rare and are only going up in value. This car is obviously tax and mot exempt, but will need a service though due to it being in storage. Viewing is welcome by appointment, payment by bank transfer please before the car leaves me. Genuine reason for sale has i have purchased another classic car.                                                         Many thanks for looking.
