1957 Oldsmobile 88 for sale
Current customer rating:
About this vehicle This 1957 Oldsmobile 88 is a modified vehicle with updates to the exterior and interior. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle is drivable and is mainly used for car shows. Seller's Notes If you have questions please ask. I was told by the previous owner that it has the original 371 engine but he was not sure the J 2 was original to the car. The wheels are 15 inch. This vehicle has no warranty and is being sold as is with no returns. Buyer is responsible for vehicle pickup or shipping and all costs associated with it. Vehicle Details
This is a 1957 Oldsmobile 2 door hardtop 88. I purchased this car about 18 years ago from its owner in Idaho, 35 miles from the state of Washington. It has a few small paint chips, not noticeable in the photos. The engine was painted orange when I bought it. I painted top half gold and never painted the bottom half. I have only put about 3,400 miles on the car. It had 90,644 when I bought it and now has 94,042. I was going to hook up the outside carbs and now only runs on the middle carb, and screwed up the shifting. I think it is adjusted correctly now but not sure as I now live on a gravel road and have not driven it in a couple of years. I have only started it periodically. The tranny leaks from the rear seal which you can purchase on e Bay for around $20. The engine is a little noisy at startup but quiets in 30 seconds. The previous owner said the engine was rebuilt and the rear end would howl when deceleration. I never addressed this issue and have not really noticed it. Exterior
