1968 CHRYSLER 300 CONVERTIBLE MOPAR 44O ENGINE EDELBROCK 8-TRACK PLAYER

Almost every year an upgrade. refinement or improvement was done to keep maximum performance:

New heavy duty coil shocks - New dual exhaust - New Edelbrock high performance carburetor.
Rebuilt heavy duty radiator - New Die Hard battery - Rebuilt brakes - Replaced original factory
convertible roof with a newer high quality white vinyl material top which opens and closes fine.
Rebuilt 440 engine in 1989 - all original miles on the 300 is 91500 (approx 20000 since rebuild. )
Original factory production run on the 1968 three hundred convertible were only 2161 produced
Only a few 300 convertibles survive today!

ENGINE & DRIVE-TRAIN:
440 V8 Engine - factory rated at 350 horsepower - a brand new out of the box four barrel Edelbrock
high performance carburetor was installed. combined with a dual snorkel air cleaner and a new dual
exhaust system all added to the power and performance. possible now pulling under 375 horsepower.
On the column is a 3 speed D-2-1 TorqueFlite Transmission which has always performed outstanding.
Unibody construction built with a heavy duty suspension system: power disc brakes - power steering
15-inch wheel rims - matching good condition tires - all 4 factory original DeLuxe 300 wheel covers.
Spare tire. factory jack and equipment all come with the classic 1968 three hundred convertible
Mechanically sound - starts - runs and drives fine.

EXTERIOR / INTERIOR:
Painted scorch red in 1989. Over the past twenty-three years the interior and exterior are is now starting to
show it's enduring age - never has been smashed or wrecked - always been stored indoors on cement floors.
The rear fender skirt area is aging. corroded. and body work attention would need to be given to this area
of the car. the rest of the car is solid and sound. has a few scratches. paint chips. and general wear.
A new collapsible antenna was installed to fit a large car cover - a black vinyl rear top cover is included

Standard Chrysler Newport Custom interior:
Black and chrome trim matched to a deep red maroon make up the Chrysler's interior color scheme.
Five feet wide seats - center fold down arm rest (no buckets or leather options with the Newport Interior)
Soft-grained vinyl seats - Note. the drivers seat is worn out and replacement material is available.
Dash pad. dash lights. courtesy light. heater. wipers. seat belts. clean carpet all intact and function fine

UNFINISHED:
The goal with the 68 Chrysler 300 was always try to keep it stock or as much stock as possible
Some areas still need attention. redone or have been modified due to parts availability:
Concealed hidden headlights the main switch - (modified to function - opens and closes properly)
Wheel well and rocket trim is extremely difficult to locate - only the rear pieces are in position
Drivers front seat is worn out and is in need of repair - (replacement material is available)
Both aftermarket side mirrors are painted red to match - (non factory Chrysler produced)
No interior trunk floor mat - (factory Mopar material is available in the market place)
As any old vintage automobiles their are still things to attain. achieve and complete.

EIGHT TRACK PLAYER:
A unsuspected highlight of the 300 is a vintage aftermarket 8-track player center mounted under the dash
which includes a working AM/FM radio. The sound is of the highest quality and impressively awesome
No vintage eight-track tapes come with the sale. you are on your own for that.
