Austin Healey Sprite

Thanks for looking at this 1 owner, prior to me, AH Sprite.I have loads of history relating to earlier work done including ALL the floor being replaced. I would describe the underside as "rust free". Also included in the earlier works are:2016 new bumper front and rear - now slightly agedvoltage regulator 2017:re-bored cylinder blockrefaced cylinder blocknew high compression pistons ( it sounds great ) new main bearingthrust washersre-ground crankshaft.new timing chain 2019:new clutchnew floor pansnew brake and clutch master cylinders More recently 2021 I've replaced the:battery,starter motordistributor HT leads and spark plugselectronic ignitioncarbs cleaned and balancednew jack The seats have been replaced in red leather covers, and are in good condition. Carpets likewise. Runs on unleaded A few pointers still to do:a couple of the gauges don't workcould probably do with new shocks all round to improve things but it's driving well as is.I have the soft top roof frame, but no cover. Again easy to order up and only a few pound.From the pictures the car looks great from 2 or 3 metres, on a close up look the paintwork could be a lot better. Personally I like it as is, you can park in your garage with no fear of scratches or scuffs ruining the overall finish - but I must stress the paintwork was sprayed by a team of monkey's prior to my ownership so that says it all, don't come here and tell me the paintwork is a bit rough...it is!! That should give you an indication as to how to consider the car, it's an ideal runaround, it's NOT a concours contender.Performance on the road is just great, starts / stops as it should but the sound and stick-a-bility on the road makes for great driving.In summary this is a lovely little Sprite, the model "you want" arguably to follow the recent strong rises in Frogeyes in general and '60's cars in particular. With a few weekends tidying there's a really nice car here with the hard/major work done or simply potter around as is. Only selling as only have room for 1 car in my garage, it has to go.a chance to grab a real bargain at the right time. feel free to message me to arrange a viewing or discuss further but no time wasters. In the previous listing I had over 250 people watching and 2000+ views along with visits.I also regrettably had a whole group of idiots promising to turn up to view. I now also have clowns bidding with no intention of completion. NOTEA recent check on both e Bay sites and other shows this car to be below HALF the price of others. Arguably in different condition BUT this has had a large part on major issues done ( engine and floor/chassis ) so if your looking to get into a Sprite now's your chance. Its an absolute steal at this kind of money.when it's gone it's gone, has to go in next 7 days or so.
