Vehicle Details

Details from builder: 1934 Dodge Cabriolet Street Rod with Viper Engine.   This is a custom 1 off ground up build.  The frame is an Outlaw Performance, Pro-street frame.  The frame has been boxed and reinforced to take all of the power that the gen.ll, Dodge Viper V-10 will provide.  The create engine is mounted to a Tremec 6-speed manual transmission, both were purchased new from MOPAR performance for this build. The rear end is a 9 in. Ford with a 3.7 gear with post-traction assembled by DTS. The rear suspension is a 4-link with Air-Ride Technologies, air ride suspension all 4 corners with power disc brakes.  The car sits on Budnik polished aluminum wheels and the fronts are 16x7 and the rears are 16x10 mounted to B.F. Goodrich T/A Radials.  All of the plumbing; fuel system, brake lines, and air lines are all stainless steel and custom made to fit the car. Every nut and bolt used in the build & assembly of this street rod are either stainless steel or chrome plated stainless steel top to bottom.  All wire connections are soldered and shrink wrapped. The Generation ll Viper V-10 was purchased from MOPAR Performance as well as the Tremec 6 speed manual transmission. The engine was complete including PS pump, AC compressor, and hydraulic clutch.  The ECU was purchased from MOPAR and the engine wiring harness was custom made for the engine.  The exhaust is 2 in diameter.  Stainless steel with Flow-master mufflers and Boral exhaust tips and entire system including headers have been ceramic coated.  The radiator is an aluminum 4 tube with side mount overflow and electric fan to keep the engine at a constant 190 degrees.  The customer l-Didit tilt steering column is married to a power rack-n-pinion unit.  The body is a combination of steel and glass and painted with PPG products [Viper Red].  The door handles have been shaved and Bear Claw latches keep the doors securely closed.  The side view mirrors have been molded into the doors.  The rear deck lid handle has been removed and an electric motor raised and lowers the rear deck.  The front hood opens from either the left or the right or can easily remove if needed.  The side panels have been flared to reveal the engine but allow for air movement.  The front grille is chrome plated stainless steel and was made by Alum craft.The rear fenders which give the street rod a unique identifier.  The light weight, insulated, cloth cover hard top is removable.  The interior is designed to continue the Viper theme.  The seats are Gen l Viper bucket seats and are custom covered in red diamond plate and black leather.  The seats have been modified, so if the top is removed the seats do not extend beyond the rear bulkhead.  The door panels and other interior components, and truck panels were designed and fabricated by American Speed.  The gauges are production Dodge Viper, with the odometer displaying the actual vehicle mileage.  The street rod is titled as a 1934 Dodge.
