Vehicle Details
1957 Austin Healey 100-6, The car is NOT sold with a title (Ebay wouldn't allow a bill of sale option), The car will be sold with a Bill of sale with an affidavit explaining that the car has been in dry storage since approx 1972, first by the previous owner, then by me as soon as it had arrived. Since it appears that the previous owner is still around and I might be able to contact him, I may be able to obtain a title at the buyers expense. The car is a steel bolt-on wheeled car (which was not common at the time). It was in a front end accident, my guess is that it went into a ditch. The right frame rail is bent, actually bowed downward, enough that the right door doesn't close. There are no kinks in the frame except perhaps the area by the right front suspension (which I expect would need replacement), I only did a cursory inspection there as I was going to be replacing the whole frame with the outriggers and cockpit floors (Jule or other). The right fender has been pushed in under the headlight, and may be repairable, the front shroud may be repairable with a replacement front section. The motor that has been installed is a 29 E with twin carbs from a 3000. The motor is complete and turns by hand, condition is unknown although, given when the car was taken off the road, I would expect that it would be in reasonable condition. The rest of the car is complete, in decent restorable condition with little rust, minus the hubcaps and weather equipment. The plan was to restore the car, moving the structure onto a new frame with increased wall thickness (Northern Healey Centre made one, Jule still does), new outriggers and possibly new floors for good measure. As for the motor, I would have put in a Longbridge motor and kept the 29 E motor for a Tri-carb chassis. I had more photos but the hard drive crashed, if I can recover more photos, I will add them. Again this car is sold with a bill of sale only. Contact me within 24 hours to arrange payment and discuss pick-up. Images
