THIS IS AN EXTREMELY RARE ROADRUNNER CONVERTIBLE. READ THE DESCRIPTION BELOW.

This beautiful 1969 Roadrunner convertible is very rare in that less than 1000 Roadrunner convertibles in total (773 in 1969 & 200 in 1970) were built with a 4-speed manual transmission. It is even rarer to find one that is factory equipped with bucket seats and a console.

These options. as well as the others are documented by the original fender tag which has been decoded and is included below. There is no indication that the car has ever been in an accident. All sheet metal on the exterior of the car appears to be original. As mentioned earlier. the radiator support and the quarter panel still carry the original VIN number that was stamped by the factory which would indicate that they have never been replaced. The convertible top has been replaced and is in excellent condition…virtually new. There are no rips. tears. or scuffs. and the rear window is glass.

As mentioned earlier a new trunk pan and trunk drop-offs were installed so this appears as new. A new floor mat was placed in the trunk. The spare tire and jack are present in their proper location.

The engine compartment was nicely detailed when the car was painted. The firewall and inner fenders were stripped of all components rather than simply masking them. The engine was detailed sometime in the distant past and although clean and very presentable it could stand to be detailed again if one wanted to. It is not the original engine but it appears to be a “warranty engine” or a “service engine” as evidenced by a blank serial number pad (indicating that it was obtained from a parts department and not another car). a date code from 1970 (which would be correct for a warranty engine). and a correct casting code for a 383CID engine.

The sale of the vehicle includes a convertible top boot and an Owners Manual.
