Fiat Topolino 500 C for sale
Current customer rating:
Fiat 500 C Topolino - stalled restoration project.
Reluctant sale of my Topolino. Rare RHD model.
Was kept in dry storage for many years until 2 years ago when I enlisted help to recommission - block was cracked so new block sourced and engine rebuilt - new rings, valves, springs, fuel pump, dynamo overhauled. All good, engine runs lovely.
New clutch fitted, gearbox all good.
Fuel tank sent off for professional lining, brakes rebuilt with new seal kit, new linings, new wheel bearings.
Completely rewired, not original - lucas light fittings - but all working, charging, great lights, good starting motor.
New bespoke Tonneau cover made - one off, not original, remove quickly with ' lift the dot ' poppers.
So mechanicals dealt with but not fettled. I have now stalled at taking on the cosmetics, body and chassis are absolutely solid but it's scruffy, seats need restoring and all the internal trims, carpets etc.
Also needs new tyres, pretty much undriveable on current set. They are a difficult size to source.
Recent reality check, I have no dry storage, no time or necessary skills and have decided that the Topolino needs to move on before it gets left out in the elements and all the good work carried out is undone.
No illusions, still plenty of work to do as I've realised but a very solid base to work from.
A few spares, trims etc, a proper english language workshop manual, a set of new old stock oversized pistons, a spare regulator.
I have recently finally managed to sort out the registration which had got lost along the way, Fiat club very helpful, supplied dating certificate and it is registered with them. So V 5 present, currently taxed, insured and on the road.
Starting bid does not begin to reflect money and time that's already been invested.
Vehicle is located in Bristol, please get in touch to view if interested. Ebay won't allow me to give phone number so please message.
