I little history about the Lincoln. The Capri was the top-line luxury model offering fourdoor sedan. two-door hardtop. and convertible body choices. Lincoln received a few trim changes for 1954 and grew about an inch in length. Sales stayed more or less even in 1954. but Capri sales accounted for three quarters of the total. with 29. 52 of 36. 93 units as the Lincoln took first and second in the Mexico road race. Lincoln reconfigured their whole lineup in 1956. and the Capri became the entry level Lincoln rather than the top trim. The model was also reduced to a two-door hardtop and four-door sedan. The engine grew to 368 cid and 285 hp. Bright two-tone colors were offered and safety features like padded dashes. dished steering wheels and 12-volt systems were standard. By 1957 the Lincoln Capri was entering its last year. Now virtually indistinguishable from the Premiere series. it featured four headlights. big fins. and additional chrome. Engine power climbed to 300 hp. which was pitched as a safety feature. Only 5. 00 Capri sedans and hardtops sold.

Today the Lincoln Capri makes for a rugged mid-1950 s collector car and the hardtops are quite handsome. Survivors still compete in the revived La Carrera Pan-American road race.

This particular car is in fantastic condition for an older restoration. Running and driving great with no known mechanical issues. finished in yellow with a black leather interior it has an eye catching. luxurious look to it. The Capri has power windows. power seats. power steering and power brakes. along with the optional dealer installed continental kit. We have gone over the entire car and will point all out for you.

You have the same ownership for the past 13 years and has been very well maintained. The mechanical service records over the years totals in the $1. 00's. Within the past month the master cylinder was rebuilt. new battery installed and oil changed. Within the past 2-4 years some of the mechanicals replaced. rebuilt or repaired: water pump. thermostat. hoses. belts. wiring. wheel cylinder. brake shoes and lines. oil pump. muffler. solenoid. starter and tires. Additional mechanicals have been performed throughout the years.

A few of the small issues we found that are just a sign of regular use. Power steering pump has a slight buzz on tight turns. might need a little attention but working just fine. Right side manifold has a slight leak. right rear carpet has a hole (see video). You have some very slight slight rust under both lower rear window moldings (see pictures). Spare tire carrier has 2 scratches on either from hitting bumper when opening (see pictures). You have some slight bubbling starting on the drivers door bottom front corner about 1. 5 inch in size and the same on passenger side back bottom corner. That is it in terms of any rust. The underside of the car is clean with no rot at all as seen in the pictures.

Considering this car is almost 60 years old with a little attention this car would be 100
