Vehicle Details

A Super Sunbeam Apline ii Buy! Make: Rootes Group Model: Alpine ii Notable: Overdrive – This is not a grocery getter. Only 19,956 of the Series II produced. The Series II has the best of the Sunbeam style, with great power in the enlarged 1,725 cc engine. The rear suspension upgrades in this series improved the handling. "The Motor magazine in 1960, which recorded a top speed of 98.6 mph (158.7 km/h), acceleration from 0–60 mph (97 km/h) in 13.6 seconds and a fuel consumption of 31.0 miles per imperial gallon (9.1 L/100 km; 25.8 mpg US).” [1] Wiki, 08/2021 This particular Alpine ii has a quintessentially 1960's color scheme in the white body paint with red off set racing strips, which adds to the cool factor. The chrome accents on the exterior have been added minimalistic lending to the look of a racecar. The interior is in great condition. The wooden steering wheel and embroidered Sunbeam emblems on the seat backs solidify a cool racecar. EXTENSIVE mechanical sorting has been done on this vehicle. New wiring harness, performance camshaft, gauges and electrical working properly, interior panels have been replaced, new stainless-steel exhaust, new hand stitched tonneau cover, new brakes and tires in good working condition. These are only the high points of the completed mechanical sorting. Other extensive work has been done also. Sum it up: this car is ready for touring season and easy cruising.
