This Scout has not been restored and is a good driver on the road and off road. It is super comfortable like Grandma's couch. There is very little rattle at speed and It starts well with only a little smoke when sitting for a while. This is good rig to take off road without working about scratching it. It has never left me stranded and behaves most of the time. It does not like to run on gas with a lot of ethanol and runs much better with 100% gas. Everything works on this Scout which is something I try to do when getting them. The windows roll up and down ok but could use some lubrication if the door panel gets removed. This is one of this Scouts you can drive it just like it is or it also is one that would deserve a full restoration with and original body which is almost impossible to find these days. Original rockers, cab mounts, dog legs, fenders are amazing on this Scout and I don't think it saw much mud in CA.

Future needs - Compressor is working but tired (simple rebuild would be good. Water Pump is working and never overheats but may need replaced before 100K. Rear hatch and panel below the windshield needs some attention or replacement if restored. Most of the leaks have been resolved except the front timing gear cover. When you replace the water pump, that would be the time to do it. Most of the rest of the gaskets have been addressed. One rear slider has a piece of plexiglass in it. I would just install solid glass down the road for the hard top during restoration. You can find sliders and they are available. This top does not leak at all and I don't think it has been removed. Paint is protective but that is about it.

$1000 deposit unless wiring the money which I prefer. If paying with cashiers check, the money must clear before the vehicle or title is released. I will FedEx the title once you wire the money. I have a good broker shipper if needed that can help move it to your new home. Just ask.
