Current customer rating:
1958 Pressed Bumper Splitscreen Single cab.
This is my pride and joy always wanted a slammed single cab with a period fast motor. It is a 1958 one year only dove blue pressed bumper single cab with one year only parts.
The body has had all welding completed at irv's body shop by previous owner with repairs blended into the original paint. The body has loads of character with great patina and wear from years of work and hasn't been over restored taking all that away which i think is a crime. The underneath has been raptored in body colour and all underneath is fully detailed. It has a old canvas which suits the look very well. It has a porsche 356 engine with custom exhaust and tin ware to suit the splitscreen engine bay. It fits in engine bay very well and give a lovely exhaust note. The engine is mounted to a vw beetle gt swing axle gearbox with high ratios for better cruising which suits the 356 engine very well. It has transporterhaus premium swing axle conversion kit to suit splitscreen. 4 inch narrow transporterhaus beam with drop spindles Gaz shocks all the way round. Fellow speed willwood disc brake kit on the front and 5 x 130 beetle drums on the rear with dual circuit master cylinder. The steering box has been raised and new steering pin fitted. The electric has had a 12 v conversion all electrics are working down to the interior light. The interior has lovley wear on the door cards and kick boards and roof boards that suit the singlecab orginial look. Lots of other bits has been done like new fuel tank butty's bits throttle linkage gene berg shifter re covered bench seat etc. Loads of money spend on this single cab the engine does have a lot of value in current market but makes this a really fun bus to drive and when somebody says have you got a porsche engine in it you can say yes!! Not many 356 engine bus around let alone in a patina slammed dove blue single cab. The only reason im selling as looking to move house and house prices in cornwall have gone mental.
£40,000 with the 356 engine in the back or £34,000 with a good 1600 single port vw motor.
