1980 Triumph Spitfire 1500

10 Months MOT
Bought the car back at the start of the year, always wanted one and finally one came up locally. Unfortunately circumstances have changed and it is up for sale.
The car is very solid underneath, and mechanically drives and feels great. Low mileage for the age as well.
While Tax and MOT exempt for piece of mind I put an MOT on it back at the end of May. Passed with no advisory's.
Also went over it mechanically in May and giving it a full service and check over, including a brake overhaul with new parts. And four new tyres.
I've spent a lot of time and money getting it back up to standard, too much to list.
The roof is in use able condition but I wouldn't want to rely on it for a heavy shower! It also has a hard top that will come with the car, it is colour matched but does have some surface rust in areas where someone has started to repair but not paint.
A large folder of photos, receipts and other documents comes with the car. There is a Triumph Spitfire Repair manual as well.
A couple of bad points to note, the choke is sticky so not as easy just to push and pull from inside the cab, however once warm and then switched off the car runs fine no problem.
Also while the bodywork is in good condition for the age and perfectly presentable, it is showing a few small rust spots in the usual places and the odd mark. Also a few small surface rust spots on the steel wheels but nothing major.
It has also had Mazda MX 5 (I think) seats fitted which are very comfortable but aren't to my taste but I struggled to find a set of original seats.
