1957 Morris Minor Convertible

(being sold on behalf of one of my children)

Here is a very much loved and rare original Moggie Convertible, not a less valuable later conversion.  Its in Cream / Maroon with a maroon soft-top still on its original number plate.

Bought in 2011 as rolling chassis, it has had much time, love and money to restore it back to a high standard and enjoyed thoroughly ever since.

As part of the restoration, it had a number of safety improvements such as front disk brakes, Servo assist brakes, Front & rear seatbelts and the front seats changed to add headrests.  It is a really authentic head turner that is in great running order.  The paintwork has a few cosmetic patches of rust, but is in good condition and the chassis is very solid.  The soft top was professionally replaced a couple of years ago and the engine has had a full professional re-build by renowned engine specialists KAR Engine Services and had preventative maintenance such as clutch replacement at the same time.

There is a small amount of cosmetic stuff to do, and much chrome to polish, but its a very reliable, good runner with some sensible safety additions - all in all in lovely condition and great fun to drive.

It has been to Le Mans for the 24 hour race, and toured Cornwall & even France - it will be sad to see it go, but it needs to have more adventures than I can give it now.

£500 deposit payable through ebay, with the balance in Cash when collecting vehicle from Teignmouth, Devon

This car is a Classic car that does not require an MOT (an informal annual check is still a good idea) and road tax is free too.
