We are pleased to offer this delightful ‘Flatnose' Morris Cowley Two Seater and dickey which is in lovely condition.

Attractively presented in dark blue with black wings with nickel plated fittings and light brown rexine upholstery

Double duck hood and matching sidescreens. Folding dickey seat with lockable cover.

The ‘Flatnose' Cowley was introduced in September 1926 and replaced the famous ‘Bullnose' and retained the 1.5 litre Hotchkiss engine and three speed gearbox. The chassis, however, was new with semi-elliptic springs all round and Smiths scissor type shock absorbers.

The Cowley had rear wheel only brakes as standard although four wheel brakes were an option which this car has. It is presently running on coil ignition rather than the original magneto.

The engine starts very readily, shows excellent oil pressure and is delightfully tractable. The clutch takes up the drive smoothly and the car is very pleasant to drive. The three speed ‘crash' gearbox is easy to master and the brakes pull the car up square.

The history file includes a buff RF 60 log book, V 5 and a number of receipts including those for a full repaint and the supply of a new engine block. There are also a number of manuals as well as an original Owner's Handbook.

The robust Cowley is well supported by both the Bullnose Morris Club and the Morris Register.

‘Flatnose' Cowleys rarely come onto the market, it seems and this is a very nice example in excellent usable condition. Ready for relaxed Vintage motoring this summer.
