Imported from Ragussa, Sicily in 2014 and sold by CoysAutioneersOriginal engine and chassis.Mechanically restored by Day & Whites in 2014/15 with full engine rebuild (new pistons, valves etc), new suspension, new brakes, new radiator, new electric ignition etc etc etc). Laterly resprayed and also retrimmed with new carpets and upholstery.Purchased by me in 2018 and immediately subjected to a complete mechanical restoration and overhaul costing in excess of £12,000.Majority of the works were carried out by Omicron Engineering with additional works carried out locally using parts from Omicron.Running on new period-correct Pirelli Cinturato tyres

Main highlights:-

Full engine rebuildElectronic ignitionNew brakesNew suspension (springs, bushings and shocks)New exhaust system (including manifold)New upgraded starter motorComplete carb rebuild and set (by Omicron)New dashboardRecent new carpet set, seals, upholstery… the list goes on.Custom Safari-rally style roof-rack

Bumpers currently removed, but supplied with sale.

Vinyl can obviously be removed (bonnet is vinyl covered)

I have a HUGE file of receipts and invoices for all of the work I have carried out, plus the main works carried out prior to my ownership. Also in the file are copies of the original Italian registration papers)

Mechanically the car is on the button (as you would expect with this amount of expenditure). Cosmetically, the car is good, but it will benefit from new paint in the near future, even though it was last done not so long ago. If I were keeping the car, I would take the next step of a full bare-metal body renovation to match the full mechanical restoration. It makes little sense financially (the amount spent on the mechanical restoration made little sense financially, but that is the way with classic cars!), but the end result will be fantastic. Over £25,000 has been spent on this car since it arrived in the UK (excluding the purchase price), and it now runs beautifully. It will sit happily at motorway speeds (and perhaps above…) and I have covered a few 200 mile+ trips with no problems at all (Omicron Engineering to the New Forest, around the M25 without missing a beat).

I am selling because I now spend only half the year in the UK, so my opportunity to use the car is reduced. The car has always been kept under cover in a garage and connected to a Ctek charger. The car was serviced using Omicron recommended oil and supplied filter earlier this month (zero miles covered since) and also given a full pre-MOT inspection by a local MOT garage.

The mileage is showing as approx. 50,000 miles. I have no idea how accurate that it as clearly it was in km's originally
