As you can no doubt see from the wonderful photos above, this beautiful 1973 Fiat 500R is still in incredibly fantastic condition, due no doubt to it seeing very few miles since receiving a full and comprehensive body and mechanical restoration under 2 years ago totalling over £15,000... I can literally see no rust at all to the exterior/upper body and the paint, likewise, still seems in super fine fettle with just miniscule imperfections here and there, if at all...

From what I can see the car seems `almost` totally original in spec, but I`m no 500R expert (just a fanatic) so please feel free to ask as many deal-breaker questions as you feel necessary `before bidding`, alternatively, please do feel free to send along your mechanical expert to examine this beautiful rare classic 500R in as much detail as is required as to satisfy all your pre-bid concerns, as I`m sure you will not be disappointed with this car…

This car has been in long-term secure (investment-style) storage for a little while now (2019), but she never fails to roar back into life with just a short pull of the starter lever. In anticipation of putting her up for sale the previous owner had her very lightly recommissioned just before taking for a new MoT. She didn`t need it but it was done anyway. And yes, she sailed through her MoT with zero advisories (as expected).

Overall, from what I can see, this car is an absolute beauty to behold. The body and paint still look incredibly good, the engine starts and runs fine, and on my very short jaunt around the farm she appeared to drive as one would expect.

I strongly believe with prices rising at the rate they currently are for this model, that top examples could quite easily topple £25,000 within the next 5-10 years. I`m sure most reading this could easily recall when top e-Types and Pagodas could easily be bought for under £10,000…!!! Now look at them… Some are over 200k…!!!

With concours examples of this marque now demanding figures well into the 20k+ region, I sincerely believe this original Fiat 500R, is the cheapest like-for-like on the market by quite some distance, making this a once in a blue moon opportunity, not only to purchase a great looking cool classic car, but to secure yourself in a sure-fire bullet-proof medium to long-term investment opportunity.

Surely this must be the perfect example to maintain, enjoy and tinker with for maximum enjoyment and financial gain (if this is indeed your aim).

So, in summary this is a legendary Fiat 500R, that has been in dry storage and very sparingly used by its previous owner (and me) for a short while now, hence, she remains in nigh-on fully restored condition.

I am very keen to sell hence I have set a very realistic and easily achievable reserve especially considering their increasing values and that similar condition vehicles are asking £20,000+…

I am so confident on the investment opportunity side of this car that I am prepared to back it up. If after 5 years you still have this car, and she remains in the same great condition, then I will happily return you your full purchase price in exchange for the car.

Who else would offer you the above and be prepared to write it into the receipt…?!???!!

As always, please bid/buy with confidence as we are honest people who would never wilfully mislead anyone just to achieve a sale.  This said, all our cars are sold `as seen` so please feel free to come and view/examine `beforehand` to make sure you will be totally happy with your purchase once bought.

I hope I have covered most things but please feel free to ask as many questions as you like as one would expect this with a rare car like this.

If you have a genuine interest/offer, and you are prepared to back it up, then I`m sure it could be sorted between you, ourselves and eBay.

As with all our cars, due to long term storage I would always strongly suggest a good going over/service/tune-up/recommissioning of all vulnerable and moving parts before returning them back to the open roads as they have not normally been used for some time and it would just be darn right silly not to on a modern car let alone a classic of a bygone era.

All our cars are sold `as seen` so please feel free to request a viewing `beforehand` to make sure you will be totally happy with your purchase once bought.

Although viewings are always welcomed (and encouraged) on all our vehicles we do understand that this may not always be possible, especially in the present climate, hence with this in mind please feel free to ask as many questions as you feel necessary to satisfy yourself as to what you are bidding on and potentially purchasing. Additional photographs can always be made available to any `serious` potential bidder but this will only be accommodated after a satisfactory `telephone` conversation/request on the number provided…

Thank you for looking.

 PLEASE NOTE:

According to the previous owner all the above is accurate but if certain details are important to you then please verify these details for yourself `before` placing a bid as this is not an option once purchased and must be taken as hearsay as opposed to factual for the purpose of this sale.

Terms and Conditions

Winning bidder to pay £500 non-refundable deposit via PayPal or direct bank transfer within 24 hrs of auction/advert end.

Deposit `MUST` be paid PRIOR to collection!! This request has been put in place purely to deter day-trippers, hagglers, re-negotiators and winning bidders who feel by their winning of the auction just puts them in the privileged position of having first refusal with the `option` to buy!!

Storage of bought vehicles is free for 1 week and then charged @ £15 per day paid in advance.

Due to the very nature of older vehicles and their vulnerability to long term storage, all vehicles are sold under the advisory and assumption that a comprehensive service and/or overhaul of all fluids, brakes, rubbers, running gear, clutches, pipes, mechanicals and electrics could possibly be needed – whether showing a current MOT certificate or not. For this reason it is advised that all vehicles are trailered home as opposed to driven.

This is a live auction meaning all vehicles are here to be viewed and encouraged to be viewed and will be sold to the buyer under the mutually agreed terms at the point of viewing.

Vehicles bought without prior agreement and without being viewed first are sold on a Trade basis. By bidding/winning/agreeing a sale on a vehicle prior to viewing you are agreeing to the following terms;

As this is a live public auction of a second-hand item whereby the buyer is free to come and view, the purchaser (or their agent) is not dealing as a consumer for the purpose of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 in relation to any vehicle sold by the seller.

Implied terms as to satisfactory quality/fitness for purpose do not apply to any transaction between the purchaser and the seller.

All components on any vehicle sold by the seller is the purchaser's sole responsibility to make sure are safe to use to the end consumer.

No liability or responsibility is accepted by the seller for any injury, illness, damage, loss, accident, expense, or any other claim arising from any fault with any component of any vehicle sold to the purchaser.

All descriptions are for identification purposes only and the seller shall not be responsible for errors of description.

All vehicles are sold as seen – spares and/or repair – no returns – no warranties. (Please note our complimentary 14 day Returns Policy)

All vehicles remain the property of Classic Cars & Campers until paid for in full unless otherwise agreed.

Classic Cars & Campers reserve the right to legally pursue any non-paying bidder/purchaser, or anyone else who refuses to adhere to our terms and conditions, if their actions are determined by us to be detrimental to our financial position.

Returns Policy

All our vehicles are available for viewings and examinations, hence, we are not an online mail order company and are not governed by The Distance Selling Regulation Act.

Notwithstanding the above, all vehicles bought from us that have been viewed prior to purchase, shall have an exception to our standard Terms and Conditions above and will come with a complimentary 14 day return policy unless otherwise mutually agreed on purchase.  All other vehicles are sold as per the terms and conditions laid out above and your offer of purchase is regarded as acceptance of these terms.
