1968 Daimler (Jaguar) 2.5 V8 Saloon *Stored for Many Years**2 Previous Owners*

Here we have a 1968 Daimler 2.5 V8 Saloon, Automatic in Gold. It has had just two previous owners in 53 years. It has had one very meticulous, considerate owner for most of it's life who has written down in great detail every bit of work it has ever had done. He kept a diary on this vehicle and it's many pages long, along with diagrams and every attention to detail from 1971! It was very clearly his pride and joy and I have pictured all the paperwork we have.

It has been dry stored for many years and will need some re-commissioning. It starts up straight away and we have taken for a short drive, the engine, gearbox etc all operate as they should. My only complaint would be a light leak of power steering fluid.

Looking around the car - considering it's about to have it's 53rd birthday the bodywork looks pretty good, expect there to be the odd blemish or signs of previous paintwork but overall the bodywork looks great for it's age and I have poked my head underneath and it looks like a solid vehicle.

The leather seats are in good condition for the age too. If you wanted the interior back to it's previous glory expect do some varnishing here and there and replace the carpets (you can get easily fit carpets for these on eBay for £200).

Paperwork wise - I have already mentioned the piles of docs we have and we also have the full V5.

The mileage is showing 23,000 but it's true mileage is just 61,000. The previous owner has documented that it had a new clock on 17th September 1971 and has even mentioned who did it.

Going through all the diaries etc has been a joy and this beautiful appreciating classic is well worth a bid.
