EXTERIOR
Embracing the distinctive style of its late 60s inception the Aston Martin DBS is markedly different to any of its predecessors, ditching the classic British curves for a more hard edged, fastback coupe to appeal to the changing market. Finished in its factory designated colour of Dubonnet Rosso this example superb, with the deep maroon shade perfectly matching the attitude of the athletic muscle car body. Gold pinstripes accentuate the subtle rise and fall of the Astons chiselled profile, whilst adding to the period feel of the DBS' styling.
Being Aston Martin the designers couldn't entirely abandon tradition, and so trademark bonnet scoop, side vents and knock-off wheels were incorporated into the design, with chromwork at each point creating a stunning contrast to the deep red finish.
Overall condition of the car is excellent, showing with a resplendent shine the car is free from any noteworthy signs of wear and most importantly shows no signs of corrosion throughout.
INTERIOR
Embodying the extraordinary level of craftsmanship established by Aston Martin, the DBS is a stunning combination of black leather hide, dark wood and machined chrome switchgear that gives the space a distinctly premium feel. Spanning the seats, doors and dashboard the lavish leather upholstery presents in exceptional condition, as do the complementary maroon carpets, which show free from any marks or signs of wear.
Adding a touch of 21st century luxury a Blaupunkt Classic style headhunt is fitted, with wiring for auxiliary inputs to connect a phone should the driver desire.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Featuring twin overhead cams and a triple carb set up, the DBS' 3,995cc inline 6 engine is a masterful piece of British Engineering. Similar to the unit fitted to the DB6 the cars performance is smooth but surprisingly swift, managing 0-60 in 7.3 seconds and going onto a top speed of 139mph.
Paired to the engine is a factory specified ZF 5-Speed manual gearbox which makes for a fully involved driving experience; free from any driver aids or electronic interference it allows the driver to fully utilise the engines impressive torque.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Offsetting the deep red finish sit a classic set of 15″ chrome finish wheels, wrapped in a set of whitewall Cooper tyres to complete the Aston's period style. Allows show in superb condition, free from and signs of fading of corrosion, whilst the tyres have good tread remaining at each corner.
