MKII Golf GTI 16V – Restored

You are looking at a restored small bumper. 3 door Golf GTI 16V; the restoration was completed on the 19th July 2013 and took 8 months

I found the car in a barn where it had been dry stored for 3 years but prior to that it had been used at weekends and for visiting VW Shows / Meets

I have extensive pictures of the restoration and would be happy to email these to any perspective buyer – I am only now selling this vehicle because I have a new project and require the funds

All parts were sourced direct from VW Heritage

The vehicle has had 2 new front wings. new inner and outer rear arches and a repair panel patch around the filler cap.  It has then been taken down to bare metal and has had a full. glass out. re-spray.   I have kept the original metallic gunmetal grey

The car sits on rare Ronal R10 Turbo wheels with new Uniroyal Rainsport 2 tyres all round

It has a stainless steel. 4 branch manifold exhaust system with twin exit pipes

New Discs. Pads. Backing Plates and Brake Hoses all round

The engine has had the head off. skimmed and polished and a new timing belt fitted

New rear cross member and poly bushes fitted

New Standard coils and struts fitted

Inside the dashboard is perfect. it has Wolfberg over mats throughout and half leather seats.   Electric Windows & manual sliding sunroof

Remote central locking with TOAD alarm / immobiliser

Sony Head Unit with USB & 3. 5mm Jack; Custom fit Pioneer speakers in original speaker slots

(Door cards have not been cut out. still have original pockets)

I have upgraded the lighting – to the rear there are LED rear side and brake lights and to the front Xenon HID H4 Conversion

These cars. especially the earlier small bumper versions. are becoming rare and sought after appreciating classics – and not many in this condition
