This is the nicest and best looking Speedster Replica we have ever seen. It is a 1958 Porsche 356 Speedster by APAL. it has the benefit of Historic Road Tax and has been completed in faultless Porsche Silver paintwork and Red Antelope leather.
It has been built using new parts. Steering. Suspension. front disk brakes and all 356 gauges and instruments. The engine is a 1914 cc Volkswagon unit with Twin Weber 40 carburettors. 12 Volt electrics and new 356 wiring loom. The windscreen is Porsche and it has Porshe Fuchs wheels. The vehicle was owned and built by Bob Knight. a well known VW and Porsche specialist and has a fully tuned 1914 cc Type 1 engine. It has a counterweighted 69 mm Crankshaft and an Engle W 120 Camshaft. ported 040 cylinder heads and dual 401 DF Weber Carburettors. It has a 1. 5 Inch merged exhaust and develops approx 110 bhp.
This car drives beautifully and is a real show stopper where ever it goes. This is a Speedster that performs as it should. It was extensively featured in Ultra VW Magazine in Feb 2010 nad has a tonneau cover and full wet weather gear. It has a new MOT is UK registered and ready for its next owner.
