1983 Jeep CJ for sale

2 nd owner of an original California Jeep. Have owned her since 2000. Have barely driven this jeep in years and with a new baby. she (the jeep) has to go. I have kept this jeep pretty much original from the outside. but under the hood is a 1999 4. 0 fuel injected engine from a Cherokee. ARB air locks front and rear with onboard compressor. full roll cage. offroad seats and rock sliders. This jeep can pretty much take you anywhere. Runs beautifully and will be sad to see her go.
Clean title. California smogged. and just renewed CA registration
Specs on the jeep:
1983 Laredo Edition. black on black. hardtop
Laredo came with the following: (all original)
- chrome grill and front bumper
- tachometer (not operable with new engine). but looks cool
- clock
- brushed chrome wheels
Engine
1999 4. 0 fuel injection from a Cherokee with registration up to date - fully smog legal in California with BAR sticker
- had this done by a reputable mechanic
- Probably has 5. 00 miles on new engine - ~130 k on speedo
- Full stock exhaust with catalytic converter from cherokee (when engine was installed)

Original 5 speed transmission
Axles
front and rear ARB air lockers with ARB compressor underhood. Buttons in cabin turn on air compressor and front and rear lockers.

California jeep. has lived its life and is completely rust free
A/C compressor (unused) came with the new engine and is installed. Could be made to replace the small onboard compressor.
Always garaged Probably $20 k invested over the last 17 years.
A few small issues:
- rear tailgate has a 1" hole from previous owner thinking this was a good place for an antenna. Since removed and rhino lined over inside
- Passenger side rear side panel has a few small dents
- Original paint. so a bit faded and could use some love
Jeep is located in San Diego and can be shown to local buyers between dates July 2 nd - 8 th. Any additional pictures or questions don't hesitate to ask.
