MASERATI 250 F GP REPLICA CAR
100's of hours have gone into this replica. every panel carefully reproduced to give the look & feel of the world famous race car.
The Maserati 250 F was raced in the 1950 s and won several GPs and driven by drivers such as Fango. Behra. usso. Macklin and of course Sir Stirling Moss. who still rates the "Mazza" as his alltime favourite race car Built over nearly 4 yrs this car is virtually the same height. length & width as the original.
The chassis is very strong. ith main rails in 2" tube with bracing. similar to the original.
The seat. ash layout. gear change. lutch. brakes and throttle are as near as original.
Yes. you are really sat astride the prop-shaft!! The big difference is the engine. originally twin cam 2. 5 straight 6. here we have a BMW 2. 5 straight 6. ut of a 325 i manual. Th old electronic ignition as been replaced with Megajolt programmable. The injection system has be replaced with Weber Triple 45 Carbs. I could have gone for M 3 BMW but these don't suit the era. The engine runs great and handles well with adjustable suspension all round with adjustable rose jointed wishbones all round.
Discs all round no servo. o traction control. o ABS and no power steering (doesn't need it anyway).
But yes. it has got a new 4 point race harness seat belt. traditional wire wheels with Blockley Cross Ply (road legal) Tyres.
Also included Tax Exempt V 5 logbook on SORN Reg No.
