1968 International Harvester Scout Scout 800

Hello up for sale is my beautiful 1968 International Scout 800. This Scout is in fantastic shape. very original truck restored nicely. Very strong factory V-8 with good compression. no smoking or burning of oil. The 4-speed transmission works great with fully functional 4 x 4 transfer case and manual locking front hubs. It is a California truck that's rust free. All numbers matching powertrain and all the body panels are original with no rust. This Scout has been repainted in two tone grey. with a PPG two stage painting process base/clear coat. The paints used are non metallic with an attempt to recreate a vintage enamel look. The colors are "Shadow Grey" for the body of the truck and "Bushland Grey" used for the top. The interior of the scout has been redone in brown and dark grey vinyl with a diamond stitching. All the interior work was done custom with new carpet front to back. The Scout runs and drives nicely the V-8 and 4-speed are a great combo. I'm not sure of the exact mileage because it's a 5-digit odometer. This truck is rust free and ready for the beach. hunting or just daily driving. All the weatherstrippings are new and in great shape. to include all window gaskets. The chrome emblems on the truck have been re-chromed or polished and are also in very good shape. All the windows were removed and resealed during the painting process with a new front windshield. The Scout has 33/12. 5/15. M/T tires which are new with 100% tread on them. and new 15" gloss black wheels.

Here's a list of some of the work done to the truck. new high flow aluminum radiator. new carburetor. all new fluids to include transfer case and both differentials. points. plugs wires. driver's side fuel tank removed. cleaned and plumbed. New fuel pump and filters. new wheels seals all four corners. complete brake resto. new master cylinder and soft lines. new shocks. new dual glass-packs exhaust. new red-top optima battery. new aftermarket temp/oil gauges. All lights work as they should. Note the truck doesn't have an AC or Heater.
