1973 BMW 2002 tii "ROUNDIE"


Being offered for sale is a one of a kind 1973 BMW tii Coupe. The car is losing it's storage and reluctantly have to sell. From the photos you can see the car has been gone through bumper to bumper.   The car has had a well installed Wide-Body kit. Front Fenders are bolt - on. with the rear flares riveted in and Professionally seamed before spraying the car entirely in Red paint. This is a small bumper Euro car with "Roundie" Taillights.  Front bumper was removed to install the Matt Finish Front Air Dam. Rear Bumper was Blacked Out and a Rear Deck Soft Spoiler was added. Car sits on 15" ROTA Mags with Kumho Rear Tires and Dunlop Fronts. Car sits lower than stock on aftermarket coils.  The rear end is a 3:91 Posi Unit. Front towers are connected via a custom made bar.  Car has recently undergone a 5 speed w/overdrive conversion using a salvage Getrag 245 Transmission from an early 80's 320i. A Brand New shortened driveshaft with serviceable universals from the West Coast was used. Presently. the trans WILL NOT shift into Reverse or 5th Gear. We think it is an internal trans problem. The trans does shift smoothly from 1st through 4th. The engine is the original numbers matching block. nbsp;modified with a Mann Cam. Korman Autoworks Intake. Twin Side Draft Dell Orto Carbs. MSD Ignition Module. Accell Coil. and Tube Header. A 3" exhaust exits through a custom Supertrapp Stinger. There is a remote Oil Filter and the Battery (New) was moved to the trunk along with an electric fuel pump. Engine is cooled with a thermally controlled Electric Fan. From the photos you can see that the interior is highly modified and is now a two seater.  Full Roll Cage. Recaro Racing Seats. Rear Seat removed and a sheet metal panel installed.  Four Point Harnesses on the front seats. The Stock Dash has cracks.  All Engine Gauges are in a custom panel in the center console.  Speedo works. Car comes with a load of extra parts.  There is an extra tii head (rebuildable). tii air cleaner. tii  intake runners and throttle body. No Fuel injection Unit. If you are interested. I have the complete Kugelfischer unit listed in another listing now. Also included is a box full of misc. take off parts. A 2nd set of Aluminum Mags with Hoosier Slicks. The original 4 speed manual transmission (working when removed) along with the original drive shaft go with the car. Car runs and drives with 4 forward gears. Lights work. Windows roll down. Wipers work and turn signals operate. A few light fluid seeps. Paint and body are good with small chips and rubs.  Body is very solid and underside is good with few surface issues (Southern Car).  Window Tint is old.

The car turns heads everywhere it is driven. I am selling this car for a close friend. Car has a current registration and a clear Tennessee Title. I have performed a lot of work on this car personally. and know quite a bit about it.  It is also available locally and we reserve the right to end the auction early for a local sale. Seller is motivated to move the car on to a new owner. Sale will require a $500. 00 Pay Pal deposit at the conclusion of a successful sale. with the balance due before the car changes hands.
