I bought this van from a lady in Ashville NC who owned it for years. The body is rust free and I had it repainted a couple years ago. The previous owner had the lower part of the van coated with a bed liner material prior to me having it re-sprayed. I bought it with a blown engine and converted it with a Small Car conversion kit from Colorado with all the upgrades . Stainless exhaust. deep aluminum oil pan. high torque starter . etc. This is the ultimate conversion kit for Vanagons . Look it up online.

I used a DOHC Subaru engine out of a 99 outback. The Forester uses the same engine so they are readily available. The engine is 160 hp. and has around 80 k miles. Service records for new head gaskets . iming belt and water pump. Transmission was rebuilt and comes with a spare. This van will cruise 65-75 easily however due to the low gearing it's happier at 60. The interior is in great shape. Stove and fridge work great. Sink needs 12 v pump and faucet handle. 110 outlet works well. Installed engineered hardwood floor. Also installed water temp. . oil pressure and amp gauges. New fill valve on propane tank. I drive this van all over and it's great. Last year to Austin Texas. this year Lake Placid NY. currently in Toms River NJ visiting family. I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. It is not a show car or a trailer queen. or a a 2017! These vans have known VW quirks which are all familiar to people that own and love them. I would consider delivering it after the payment clears and price is agreed upon.

quirks as listed heater control cable binds up but can be turned on and off easily washer sprayer intermittent driver side seat belt just broke(should have fixed by auction end) valve cover gasket on passenger side started to leak. will be repaired dash lights funky sometimes(typical for vanagons) currently working.
