Our RK Motors Charlotte showroom is home to some of the coolest muscle cars on the planet. and we've built our reputation on bringing you the best Mopars money can buy. Usually. when we talk about a member of the late 60s Chrysler family. we're introducing a factory correct showpiece that'll serve more time as a trailer queen than a road warrior. But this Plymouth. envisioned by its builder as the perfect mix of classic muscle car attitude and first class. modern performance. is one of the sweetest Mopar pro-tourers we've ever seen! Tastefully modified. from its custom suspension and Greg Bolton Hemi to its custom sheetmetal and Boyd Coddington wheels. this squared-jawed Chrysler is dangerously fast and brutally appealing. If you're searching for a bad to the bone classic that's fun to look at. a blast to drive and priced so well you'll have to pinch yourself. you've found your next car!

This superb Satellite's high quality. professional restoration began when its solid convertible body was meticulously stripped and carefully massaged by Freddy Valdez of Santa Ana. California. Once that canvas was fully prepped. a $20K coat of House Of Kolor two-stage was rotisserie sprayed and buffed to a brilliant. wet-look shine. Naturally. all of the car's panels remain laser-straight. with a closer look revealing even gaps and fantastic fitment. And overall. this sinister Plymouth presents well from every angle. offering undistorted reflections that have more depth than most swimming pools.

Thanks to lessons learned from years of SoCal hot rodding. this drop-top's builders incorporated a number of subtle styling cues that ensure the car isn't mistaken for any of its stuffy. concours siblings. At the front of its smooth black body. a bright stainless grille hangs crystal clear parking lamps between two halogen headlights and a professionally re-chromed bumper. Behind that grille. a shaved hood leads the eye to like-new glass that's founded in a smoothed cowl panel. traced by excellent stainless trim and capped with a black cloth top. At the sides of that hood. a shaved profile anchors re-chromed door handles between a chrome fuel filler and correct chrome mirror. And at the back of that profile. a shaved trunk aligns perfectly between de-trimmed Belvedere taillights and a second re-chromed bumper.

Toss the Jet Black hood and you'll find a 426 cubic inch Greg Bolton Hemi that takes this brazen Mopar from "very appealing" to "GOTTA HAVE" almost as fast as it takes the car's driver from "nitro junkie" to "white knuckle tight"! At the top of the 500 horsepower mill. a custom air system mixes wind from two reusable filter elements with fuel that's supplied by two Holley carburetors. custom stainless fluid lines and a vertical Summit pressure gauge. At the base of those carburetors. a big aluminum intake sends a rich air/fuel mixture into aluminum Mopar cylinder heads that are built with Dick Landy rockers and capped with aluminum. "Mopar HEMI" valve covers. That air/fuel mixture is sparked by an MSD Blaster 2 coil via a traditional points distributor and blue Taylor plug wires. The resultant combustion comes courtesy of an Eagle crank. ARP bolts. Clevite 77 bearings. Manley rods. a solid-lifter Competition cam and brutal Keith Black pistons. Cooling for those hot fires is provided by a big. aluminum radiator that's seated between a high volume pump. a Mopar Performance neck and fully polished accessories. And spent gases are efficiently expelled through a slick set of high performance Tom Face headers. Naturally. the big. fully detailed engine employs many top notch ancillary components. including a Mopar Performance balancer. a Mopar Performance windage tray. a Sealed Power oil pump. Sealed Power rings and rugged Fel-Pro gaskets. And aesthetically. the car's smoothed and body-matched bay is exceptionally impressive. from its billet accessory drive and stylish chrome alternator all the way to its slick Wilwood master cylinder and Black Nickel hood hinges.

Take a look under this beefy B-Body and you'll find a custom. full-length frame that's been thoroughly equipped to back up Bolton's tough. intimidating powerplant. Behind that big bore engine. a Bob Mazzolini-built Torqueflite utilizes Gear Vendors under/overdrive to spin a traditional Dana 60 that's fitted with Truetrac innards and big. 3. 73 gears. Naturally. the car's old-school torsion bar and leaf spring suspension has been completely swapped for Black Nickel. No Limits control arms. 2-inch drop spindles and a custom. 4-link rear end that's complete with a Black Nickel X-bone. That stronger suspension is augmented with polyurethane bushings. a full set of QA1 coil-overs. a full set of Speedway Engineering sway bars and modern power rack and pinion steering. At the center of that chassis. 3-inch. low profile pipes send spent gases through an X-shaped crossover to wicked SPINTECH mufflers. At the corners of those pipes. big. 4-piston Wilwoods resist 10-inch. drilled and slotted rotors to ensure the car's left pedal works as well as its right. On the outside of those brakes. power flows to the ground through a sweet set of Boyd Coddington Classic II wheels. which spin 235/45ZR17 Nitto NT555 Extreme ZRs in front of 285/40ZR18 Nitto NT555 Extreme ZRs. Many custom pieces. including a PSM-fabricated oil pan. a tubular transmission crossmember. a big driveshaft hoop and a high quality mini starter. ensure the buff engine's ample torque doesn't manifest itself as an unfortunate incident. And everything. from this Satellite's stainless. oversized fuel lines and braided brake hoses to its custom. 30-gallon fuel tank and rugged Moroso transmission pan. presents just as well as the day it rolled out of the restoration shop.

Open this Plymouth's solid doors and you'll find one of the coolest interiors ever bolted behind a Hemi. Restored by The Upholsterers in Riverside. California. and finished in quality Legendary vinyl. this cockpit brings a real sense of class to a car with a generally solemn and subdued nature. In front of the driver. a Painless-wired instrument cluster and correct Plymouth radio ride inside a classy. stainless-trimmed dash. Below that dash. a factory console seats a modern B&M QuickSilver shifter inside what seems like a mile of chrome trim. Below that console. fresh black carpet is protected by heavy. color-keyed floor mats. On top of that carpet. fully restored seats prop intricately detailed covers in front of a sweet. 2-spoke steering wheel that's complete with a glowing red centerpiece. At the sides of those seats. correct door panels carry ornate trim. chrome handles and glossy black frames to a cloth convertible cowl. Below that cowl. a clean and still spacious trunk conceals a bright aluminum battery box. And. from its bold "426 HEMI" emblem all the way to its Mini-Panel II accessory gauges. this convertible's interior is a no-excuses. no holds barred tribute to classic American motoring.

The sale of this sinister Satellite includes a stack of restoration photos. a pile of restoration receipts and one of the car's numerous awards.
