1973 AMC Matador 'Z' code (401) V 8 Police Package with less than 30. 00 original miles. Stored inside since new. Police service history (if any) is unknown. A/C system refurbished with new compressor & lines. blows cold air. new brake cylinders. shoes & lines. new radiator. new G 78 X 15 tires on 3 powder coated 'H' code wheels (2 H code wheels are MIA). 4 th wheel is from Coker Tire. Hidden electronic ignition. New water pump & alternator with 100 AMP output. Registered with its original CA 'blue' plates. Car drives like new. interior is like new. runs like a rocket ship!!!
These cars are hard to find even in a civilian version let alone a '401' with less than 30 K miles.
The side molding is missing and the right side muffler (original 73 date stamp) has a hole. I was going to paint it black & white so I have the hard to find chrome C pillar trim.
The manual steering is great. handling is fantastic. it's no wonder the LAPD loved these cars.
