1953 Cadillac Series 62 Sedan Fleetwood Blue

Hello and welcome to the ad for this Car - I hope i will not have to list this again. Someone bought this 6 months ago - paid a deposit and never followed through. This car needs a good home! I kept my word to the buyer but i cannot wait any longer.

1953 Cadillac Series 62 Sedan

Dad bought this car about 16 Years ago in the U. K. Since then is has been professionally restored. It has been garaged all the time we have owned it and there is nothing to disprove it was not before it came to us. It is a Florida car so it was in good condition originally. All the chrome has been re done. and body interior trim wise everything is as it should be. The engine runs. and it is mechanically ok but i would not suggest driving it home as the car has not been used on the road in a long time. It does have a few leaks and needs a good check over but  for the potential serious buyer i am happy for them to test drive it around (it is garaged on an industrial estate).  It has power steering. power seats and power windows. but not air conditioning. There is a brand new battery for it (not even put the acid in yet) which will go with the car.

The spray work was done by an ex-Rollys Royce sprayer in Bridgend. and the interior was done by All wheel Trim Ltd in Oxford.

The car has not been taxed for a long time. and is currently sorn. we have moved it previously on trade plates. Also there is no current MOT.

Apart from the above the following needs some attention . The power window switches need looking at. There is a stone chip on the windscreen but has been there since we had it. There is a few small paint blemishes. one pictured show the lacquer. peeled slightly above the tail light. There is a chip on the corner of the front wing (not pictured) where it meets the bonnet and bulkhead). Please note the chrome looks dull on the pictures because it is covered in oil. Also we do have the floor mat for the front floor. its just not in it). There is also a small rust hole in the passenger footwell. but thats all the rust there is. The passenger floor looks more rusty  than it is due to the under carpet.

Its basically sat in a corner of the Garage. with a car cover over it (included in sale) its a real shame. It needs someone to give it more time than we can. i don't think Dad or Myself will ever get round to enjoying it as it should be.

Hopefully someone will come along and give it a good home.
