1968 Mercury Monterey Convertible
An outstanding. rare. dependable driver! This Merc is in great condition and can be driven anywhere.
I hate to sell it I've owned since 1974 but it is time.
It has been stored in a heated garage and only taken out for special occasions such as picnics. car shows and drives on sunny days. It probably has not had 5. 00 miles put on it in the last 10 years.
Just some of the many features are:
428 V 8 rebuilt less than 10 K ago with many performance internal extras as well as lots of aluminum and chrome. Engine runs extremely well but still runs quiet with a smooth idle. The C 6 transmission was rebuilt with a mild shift kit and cooler added. Fuel tank was replaced and has Holley electric fuel pump. Brake system hydraulics rebuilt. system flushed and cables replaced. Cooling system rebuilt. hoses and belts replaced and system flushed.
Engine compartment is detailed and very sharp. Completely upholstered trunk compartment is also very sharp. Five (5) Mercury
Marauder
wheels with 5 new touring radial tires. Power steering. power disc brakes. power seat. power top and AM/FM radio.
Yellow exterior as well as all chrome and bumpers are in excellent condition. Black vinyl interior also in excellent condition. White top with glass back window is in excellent condition with factory boot. This car turns heads wherever you go. Many extra parts included – too many to list.
Additionally. we have a set of rare. black professionally rebuilt factory 1968 Ford Galaxy XL/Merc bucket seats complete with tracks ready to install. We also have the rare factory 1968 Ford Galaxy XL/Merc console complete with all the parts including shifter assembly. We also have a complete factory power window changeover setup with wiring. switches. motors. regulators. etc. to fit this car or similar applications.
