You are bidding on a very solid 1973 Volvo P 1800 ES. It was the personal car of a professional Volvo mechanic who rebuilt the engine with B-21 pistons (to give 2. 1 liter displacement). IPD stage 3 camshaft. and tubular headers. This Bosch fuel injected four cylinder motor is quite powerful. doesn't leak or burn oil. runs cool. has strong oil pressure and 150 PSI on each cylinder. The taunt suspension is equipped with Bilstein shock absorbers all around for superb handling. Volvo turbo wheels with Yokohama 195 SR 15 steel belted radials compliment the performance package nicely. The four speed all synchronized gearbox is dead quiet and shifts perfectly with lovely clutch action. The factory Laycock de Normanville J-type overdrive is a must have. and of course. works flawlessly. The four wheel power disc brakes stop the car quickly and evenly. All this combined with the P 1800 ES incredible styling. makes for a very sporty package!

All the glass is in great shape and the headliner and bright work are serviceable.

While needing no mechanical work. there are appearance items that require attention.

A new carpet set and dash covers are included in the auction. as the car needs a new interior. The otherwise solid uni-body has rust-through on the outer panel of the rear valance. New paint and a little bodywork would be beneficial.

This highly collectible classic sports car has been professionally serviced (belts. hoses. fluids. lube. etc. ) and has a current State of Texas Safety Inspection. Drive it home!
