Beautiful 1956 Buick Special Riviera Hardtop Coupe with rebuilt/ refreshed engine. trans. rear end. suspension. brakes/cylinders. paint. interior and add on electric wipers. electric fuel pump and power steering. 10000 miles on rebuilt 322 Nailhead V 8 that runs strong. This Riviera coupe sports the 220 horsepower Nailhead V 8 made popular among hot-rodders of the era. The term Nailhead arose from the smaller diameter valves that were vertically mounted within the heads. The car drives and handles well. Runs cool all the time. Paint is an '9'. Interior is a '9' and chrome/ stainless varies from very good to excellent on close inspection. New tires and battery. It is a beauty in and out. in overall excellent condition. Black paint(2 stage) is Fresh and Harvest Yellow is factory color re-paint and sets off the interior nicely. Voltmeter. Temp gage Tachometer and Radio under the dash are also new additions but originals retained. Have a set of Wire wheel covers that could be modified to car but run the original hub caps. It is not Jay Leno's Buick. But Close :) Car has been driven weekly the last 5 years in the summer for shows/ rally's . tc. with regular maintenance including recent rear bearing overhaul and rear Air shock addition. No rust.
